Coalition of Palisadians to Keep Marquez Safe was founded in February 2012 in response to the Los
Angeles Department of Water and Power’s proposal to build a new power
distributing station directly next to Marquez Charter Elementary School, in the middle of Marquez Knolls, and preserve wildlands and wildlife. We are parents, educators, neighbors, residents, and wilderness advocates working to keep our neighborhood and our neighborhood school safe.
